I’M COMIN’ HOME

What is home and how do you get there.? Is it a place you want to be, or a place you do not want to be? Why did you leave?

Is it where you were born or where you live?

The title is fluid and a proclamation. It is a verb defined by a place. It can be a state of mind or a place. It is abstract as a feather and as peaceful as a cloud.

I am thinking road trip, excitement or skepticism.  Desire or duty.  Wedding, birthday or death. Family, friends or no one. Things have changed a lot or not at all. Greetings or can’t make it. Gardens, dirt and alcohol.

Still-lives, landscapes, portraits.  Cornbread, rail-yards, hangin’out. Old photographs and letters. I-pads and Netflix. Bugs and heat. Cats and dogs. Books and birds. Records and headphones. Porches and cars and so much more that you are going to show us. -Celina Lunsford
