Bio: I graduated Brooks Institute of Photography in 1977. Returning to NYC I assisted many substantial photographers (assistant to Pete Turner, Studio Manager for Rebecca Blake.) In 1986 I opened a studio on Warren Street in downtown Manhattan where I worked in the fashion business shooting catalogs and testing models from the major agencies. In the late 80s I got involved in motorcycling. In 1992 I had a show of my motorcycle photography at the Spirit Square Center For The Arts in North Carolina. By 1994 I was editor and publisher of City Cycle, NYC’s motorcycle publication (closed 2005.)
(Side note: I’m probably the only photographer to have a studio Portrait of Peter Turner, Jay Maisel and Ernst Haas together. Published in Vol. 1, #1 of American Photographer, 1978)
The Project; My goal is to publish a book. I’ve been living in this little corner of Mexico for 12 years and have over 60,000 images. The 8 attached don’t even scratch the surface. Many have been exhibited in the local cultural center and I have a few awards. I’ve culled them, to 1200+ images. Next step is to cut them to 100-ish. I would like to find a photobook publisher that is interested but that doesn’t matter; I was a publisher and have the skill set.
Thanks you for the time.
