Southern Landscapes: Southern Light

curated by

Molly Roberts

On the Walls and Online

June/July, 2023

30+ images will grace the walls of the bricks and mortar gallery and the online gallery.

Ten photographers will be invited to show their work in South x Southeast Magazine’s Curator’s Choice feature.

There’s something about the light in the American South. Maybe it’s the humidity – the way the morning fog lies thick over the fields in late winter, early spring. Or, the way the clean, clear air after one of our violent summer storms lets it all in. Or, maybe it’s just the way it lies there all still in the paralyzing heat of mid-summer. Whatever it is, it is all our own. And, it has been drawing artists of all mediums for centuries.

DEADLINE: April 16th
